Strategic Plan
In order to accomplish our Vision and Mission, we have four key Strategic Initiatives. They are:
Membership
Maintain a viable and growing organization by increasing new members and retaining existing members
- Develop and implement a program to increase first year renewal rate to 50%
- Develop and implement a program to increase membership renewal rate to 88%
- Develop and implement a program to recruit 200 new members in 2008, 220 in 2009 and 242 in 2010
Programs, Events & Training
Create and deliver quality programs and events that provide value to businesses while contributing to the financial stability of the Association
- Increase participation of current programs & events by 10%
- Develop creative networking opportunities at all events
- Host at least (1) Quarterly seminar or training program
Marketing
Promote the value and identity of GOA as the premier regional business association of Northern Illinois
- Develop and institute a comprehensive 12 month Marketing Plan NLT 12/31/07; NLT 10/01 of 2008, & 10/01 of 2009
- Develop Quarterly surveys for member feedback and distribute results to teams and board for review
- Develop a Newsletter strategy that generates income
Government Affairs
Provide information and advocacy on political issues affecting businesses within our Region
- Expand existing & develop new relationships with key government officials within our region
- Organize events to highlight and promote issues that impact our membership
- Provide regularly scheduled communication to the membership on how to access, understand, and influence legislative issues
